3 Reasons Your Blog Isn’t Growing As You Planned
Do you make profit from your blog? Growing a successful blogdoesn’t happen by accident. You’ve to carefully plan your every step and ensure nothing is missing.
Of course you don’t have to be a professor to make it work, but the rules of running an offline business also applies to blogging and every other online venture.
Most of the time, we fail to profit from our blogs because of what we’re doing wrongly. I’ve summarized the 3 reasons why your blog isn’t growing as you planned. Enjoy it.
1. You didn’t write your goals down
A lot of people underestimate the power of setting goals and writing it on paper.
You need a pen and paper to make blogging worthwhile. When I first started blogging, I was doing all manner of promotions.
Obviously, I didn’t know what I was doing. When you write your goals down on paper, you would be guided on the right path. You’ll not swerve to the left when your intentions are to the right.
No matter your level of success of failure, I want you to get started towards the right path. Get a pen and paper and write clearly the goals that would pave way for you.
2. You only think positively
Positive thinking is the bedrock of every successful entrepreneur. You need to think like you’re already there before you get there.
But positive thinking alone cannot bring you fresh readers. Positive thinking also cannot bring money to you – you’ve to do something extra before success can come.
A man who doesn’t think positively would fail countless times and still will not make the right choices. Don’t ignore the power of positive thinking for your business, but move a step forward. Go out and network with other people – take action and your positive outlook would merge with the work to produce results.
3. You’re not guest posting
Yes, guest posting is that powerful and can grow your blog. If you’ve been in the blogosphere for quite awhile, you’ll have read several of my guest articles published across A-list blogs. Do you think I’ve all the time to write for other blogs?
Absolutely not!
I know that a new blog can grow exponentially if you dare to guest post consistently. It’s not going to bring overnight results, you need focus and speed. Speed is crucial – without which, you’ll grow below your set goals.
Find blogs in your niche and propose an insightful article to them. You might not make money from guest posting, but you can grow a reputable blog, build your email list and earn extra incomeat the backend.
There are other ways to drive traffic and build a profitable blog. But guest posting is the best for bloggers. Social media marketing works, but you need to invest quality time in building a responsive following.
Gone are the days when ranking on Google first page was pretty easy, today, it’s as difficult as getting a loan without a collateral.
Guest blogging knows no bounds. Several authority blogs are in dire need of quality contents – provide it and you’ll get backlinks, targeted traffic and fame.
What else?
Apart from these 3 reasons, there are other excuses that stop bloggers from making headway in the industry. Besides, succeeding in any form of business demands focus and exploration. You don’t stop until hit a jackpot. If you enjoyed this post, leave a comment below – see you at the top!
