AT&T has announced that it will sell Samsung’s Galaxy Mega 2 beginning on October 24. The Galaxy Megaline was spawned out of a desire for phablet-sized mid-range devices that wouldn’t break the bank. AT&T picked them up in the US and must have found some success, because it’s back for a second round with the Galaxy Mega 2. The star of the show for the Galaxy Mega 2 is its 6-inch 720p display.

Other specs for the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 include a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB storage, 8-megapixel rear camera, 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, Android 4.4 KitKat and 2800mAh battery. As you can see, the Galaxy Mega 2 is not a high-end device, but fits rather nicely into the mid-range market. It does exactly what it means to by offering a phablet-sized display at an affordable price.

AT&T will sell the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 for $149.99 with a two-year contract or $474.99 without a contract. If you prefer the AT&T Next route, you can get it for $23.75/month for 20 months. The Galaxy Mega 2 will be available for purchase in stores and online beginning this Friday, October 24.
